Founder

Burt Siegel retired as the Executive Director of the Jewish Community Relations Council of Greater Philadelphia after serving that organization for 38 years. He timed his retirement to be able to assist in Barack Obama’s first Presidential campaign. He then served as a consultant to CeaseFire PA, the Mid-Atlantic regional office of the Consulate of Israel, the Darfur Alert Coalition and several other non-profit organizations and for several candidates for political office. He was appointed by three mayors to the Philadelphia Commission on Human Relations and was the agency’s vice and acting chair.

He was elected as a delegate to the1976 Democratic convention and served as a member of the staff for 1972 convention. He was a co-founder of the Democratic Jewish Outreach of PA and serves as the PAC’s Vice Chair.

A frequent author of articles and speaker about a wide range of subjects including the role of the Jewish community in American politics and intergroup relations. He has been a visiting lecturer in the US, Israel, Canada and Germany where he was an invited guest of the Ministry of Education. He is the past President of Or Hadash, a He is the father of three children Leah Siegel Taylor, Sarah Siegel and Joshua Siegel
