Democratic Jewish Outreach Pennsylvania today called U.S. Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick’s (PA-1) vote to launch an impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden “another example of the Congressman’s failure to stand up to the Make America Great Again extremists who have taken over the Republican Party.”
Jill Zipin, Chair of the state-wide political action committee DJOP, said Fitzpatrick “once again betrayed his constituents by siding with a right-wing drive to divert attention from Donald Trump’s array of legal woes.”
Zipin stated:
“His support of Wednesday’s vote to initiate a highly partisan and evidence-free impeachment inquiry demonstrates that he is totally beholden to the extremists who are driving this highly partisan crusade – one designed only to benefit Donald Trump’s campaign.
“Instead of doing meaningful work to move our nation forward and addressing the very real needs of middle and working-class Americans, Fitzpatrick and his Republican MAGA cronies want only to do the bidding of a revenge-seeking Donald Trump. It’s been nearly a full year now that the Republican-led House has been unable to produce any evidence of impeachable action by President Biden. It would have been wiser for Fitzpatrick to stand up against the MAGA forces and vote to restore honesty and decency to the House of Representatives, instead of focusing on smearing Joe Biden.”
