DJOP: Vance rivals Trump
‘as the biggest liar in politics’
Democratic Jewish Outreach Pennsylvania said today that JD Vance’s repeated lies
during last night’s Vice Presidential debate show that Vance “rivals Donald Trump as
the biggest liar in politics.”
Jill Zipin, Chair of the state-wide political action committee, said that she and her fellow
DJOP board members already knew that Vance “is an opportunist who has no regard
for the truth.” She stated:
“Last night the candidate who previously admitted that he lied about Haitian refugees
stealing and eating dogs and cats in Springfield, OH, exceeded even this bizarre
falsehood when he displayed his full inventory of lies in the debate with Gov. Tim Walz.
“We shouldn’t be surprised. Before joining the MAGA team JD Vance compared
Donald Trump to Adolph Hitler, calling Trump ‘an idiot’ and ‘reprehensible.’
“Vance said last night that he is ‘focused on the future’ when he was asked if Donald
Trump won the 2020 election. But earlier this year he told ABC News that if he had
been Vice President in 2021, he would not have certified the election, as former Vice
President Mike Pence did.
“Vance had the nerve to state that Trump tried to save Obamacare. This is delusional.
Donald Trump did everything he could to eliminate it.
“Vance lied about Mexico being responsible for our gun violence problem. This is a
totally groundless claim.
“He invented the number of ‘illegal aliens’ in the United States, claiming it to be ‘20 to 25
million.’ The Pew Research Center estimates the number to be 11 million.
“And Vance lied about the Biden-Harris energy record. The facts are that the United
States produced a record number of barrels of oil last year, and recorded a record-high
year for the domestic production of natural gas.
”It was sad to see JD Vance go to such lengths to rival Donald Trump as the biggest liar
in politics. As New York Times columnist Jamelle Bouie wrote, ‘If Vance had to sell the
benefits of asbestos to win office, he would do it well and do it with a smile.’”
