The Board of Directors of Democratic Jewish Outreach Pennsylvania (DJOP) today
announced that it has endorsed nine candidates running for the US House of
Representatives in the Nov. 5 general election — with more expected as additional
candidates respond to DJOP’s policy questionnaire.
Jill Zipin, DJOP Chair, said that the endorsed House candidates “are focused on
building a bright future for all Americans.” She stated:
“Those who have Republican opponents face an angry, resentful collection of Donald
Trump sycophants who want only to complain about the past, destroy our democracy
and posture as moderates when in fact they go down the line in support of Trump’s
MAGA election denialism and agenda to reward America’s wealthiest families with tax
breaks even bigger than the one he gave them when he held office.
“These opponents are silent when Donald Trump mimics the antisemitic language of
Adolph Hitler, or when he tells us that the white nationals who marched in
Charlottesville carrying torches while chanting ‘Jews will not replace us’ were ‘some
very fine people’”.
Zipin added:
“The candidates endorsed by our state-wide political action committee recognize that
inflation and unemployment are down. They support women’s reproductive rights and
women’s health care. They recognize Israel’s right to defend itself and the security of
her people. They know which party worked to cap the cost of a month’s supply of
insulin for seniors at $35. And they stand strongly against Trump and his MAGA
Republicans who want to cut the programs that have provided health care and financial
well-being for millions of hard-working Americans — Social Security, Medicare and the
Affordable Health Care Act.
The candidates endorsed by DJOP are:
