The Board of Directors of Democratic Jewish Outreach Pennsylvania today endorsed
Vice President Kamala Harris for President of the United States.
In the aftermath of President Biden’s announcement that he will not run for reelection,
Jill Zipin, Chair of the state-wide political action committee, said Harris “unquestionably
has the skills and the experience to save our nation from the threat that a second
Donald Trump presidency presents.” Zipin said:
“Vice President Harris has been elected to office three times by the voters of the largest
state in the nation – as District Attorney of San Francisco, as Attorney General of
California and as U.S. Senator from California. And a majority of Americans has
elected her to our nation’s second highest office.
“Her record as a prosecutor, senator and Vice President clearly demonstrates her ability
to lead. It also shows that she is ready to address the challenges of a campaign against
Donald Trump and his right-wing MAGA extremists.
“She is an effective advocate for women’s reproductive rights. As part of the
administration that released the first ever National Strategy to Counter Antisemitism she
showed her understanding of the crisis facing the Jewish community. And she has a
solid understanding of international affairs, including the United States’ commitment to
the U.S.-Israeli relationship.
“Vice President Harris has earned our support for election as President of the United
States. We have every confidence that she will earn and win the Democratic
nomination for President, and that she will win the election on Nov. 5 against the right-
wing agenda that convicted felon Donald Trump and his MAGA allies have outlined in
their anti-woman, white supremist Project 2025 document.”
Zipin said President Biden’s announcement yesterday that he will not run for reelection
“was a selfless action that demonstrates his commitment to his nation and his party.”
She stated:
“President Biden governed with a compassion, fairness and mutual respect for all
Americans that is beyond the understanding of Donald Trump.”

Zipin said DJOP looks forward to working with a Harris administration to continue the
progress that the Biden-Harris administration has made on ending gun violence,
safeguarding women’s rights and enacting measures to combat antisemitism.
