Democratic Jewish Outreach Pennsylvania (DJOP) today called on Republican candidate for the US Senate David McCormick to divest from his heavy investment in a website known for its antisemitic hate speech.

McCormick is seeking the Republican nomination to oppose the reelection of Democratic US Sen. Bob Casey.

Jill Zipin, DJOP Chair, said that McCormick’s financial disclosure forms show that he has invested between $1 million and $5 million in Rumble, an extreme right wing white supremist outlet known for hosting antisemitic and racist content.

“Rumble has carried content from white supremist Nick Fuentes, who has been banned from other social media site because of his antisemitic and Holocaust-denying comments,” Zipin said.

“Fuentes has said that he will partner with any person who ‘says they love Hitler,’” Zipin said.  “This is just one example of the antisemitic, race-baiting content featured on Rumble.

“The website has no problem in carrying racist, antisemitic or misogynistic comments on its pages.

“DJOP believes that David McCormick’s investment in a business that promotes such hatred seriously calls into question the validity of his public comments condemning antisemitism,” Zipin said.

“We urge him to tell us which side of the debate he stands — the antisemitic, white supremist, fact-free conspiracy-promoting industry in which he has invested, or with those who respect their neighbors and tolerate the differences in religion, race and culture that make our nation great.”
