Democratic Jewish Outreach Pennsylvania today called on President Trump “to immediately remove his dangerous social media posts calling for the ‘DEATH’ of Congressional leaders who dare to oppose him.”

Jill Zipin, Chair of the state-wide political action committee, said Trump’s posts “will serve only to encourage more dangerous behavior by unhinged people who think they have the right to take the law into their own hands to silence their political rivals.”

Trump’s posts were in reaction to a video in which six members of Congress — all of whom served in the military or in intelligence roles — urged US armed service members to refuse to follow unlawful orders. The House and Senate members included Pennsylvania’s U.S. Reps. Chris Deluzio (D-17 th PA) and Chrissy Houlahan (D-6 th PA).

Zipin said: “This is not the way American democracy is supposed to work. Donald Trump doesn’t know it, but the Code of Military Justice and international law is clear. The members of our military can and must refuse to follow illegal orders. If Donald Trump disagrees, there are civilized ways in which to discuss our differences without resorting to mad-man death threats.”
