Brett Goldman brings 13+ years of experience working on public and private sector issues focused on government, politics, economic development, agriculture, international trade, strategy, and communications.

For the last 6 years, Brett has been on a mission to create global access to Cannabinoids. He has a demonstrated track record of translating this mission into successful legislative and regulatory policy, including work with the USDA’s Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) on the development of the agency’s Interim Final Rule for Hemp Production, and USDA’s Risk Management Agency (RMA) to provide real-time hemp industry data for the development of the first crop insurance pilot program for hemp.

Brett helped launch several industry groups including the US Hemp Roundtable, US Hemp Authority, US Hemp Growers Association, and the Hemp Feed Coalition. Melded with boots on the ground experience in KY’s first hemp vertical, Brett brings unique qualifications and perspective on the nascent industry, including technical aspects of quality certifications.

Prior to joining GenCanna, Brett spent four years as a lobbyist at a multinational law firm, where he worked on federal, state, and local legislative and regulatory campaigns. He began his career working in government and politics in and around Philadelphia and New Jersey. He earned his BA in History and MA in Education at Fairleigh Dickinson University and his MA in Government and Strategy from IDC Herzliya in Israel.
