Bob Harvie

Candidate for Congress
District 1

A lifelong resident of Bucks County, Bob Harvie has spent a lifetime serving the community that shaped him. His career in public service began in the classroom, where he spent more than 20 years as a social studies teacher at Bucks County Technical High School, preparing students for lives of civic engagement and service. As an educator, Harvie oversaw the Beyond the Books program, which gave local military veterans the opportunity to share their firsthand experiences with students.

His commitment to public service extended beyond the classroom through his work on the Falls Township Planning Commission and the Falls Township Board of Supervisors. Harvie became the longest-serving chair of the Board of Supervisors, serving from 2008 to 2020. During his tenure, he invested in local infrastructure and worked to improve quality of life for families across the township. In 2019, Harvie was elected to the first of two terms on the Board of Bucks County Commissioners. He was later named chair of the board in 2022 and again in 2025.

Now, Harvie is running for Congress to represent Pennsylvania’s 1st Congressional District. He believes working families are being hurt by rising costs and failed policies that leave too many people behind. As local nonprofits and community organizations face devastating funding cuts, Harvie is committed to fighting for families, protecting essential services, and building a stronger future for Bucks County and communities across the district.

After years of serving Bucks County at the local level, Harvie is ready to take his experience to Congress and continue fighting for the communities he has spent a lifetime serving.
