The board members of Democratic Jewish Outreach Pennsylvania (DJOP) said today that Senior White Aide Stephen Miller “demonstrated a shocking lack of judgement in calling Los Angeles protesters ‘insurrectionists’ when his own boss pardoned thousands of Jan. 6, 2021 rioters who viciously attacked the U.S. Capitol.”
The Jan. 6 rioters, said Jill Zipin, Chair of the political action committee, assaulted police, destroyed property and violently sought to disrupt the work of the U.S. government.
“Those were real insurrectionists, proven so by their actions,” Zipin said. “Many of them pled guilty and the rest were found guilty by judges or juries — and all were set free by one shameful swipe of Donald Trump’s political pardon pen.
“Look at the facts, Mr. Miller,” Zipin added. “The Jan. 6 hooligans are the true insurrectionists, not the Los Angeles residents who were doing nothing more than protesting ICE’s deportation of people looking for work.”
