DJOP congratulates Ken Martin on election as chair
of the DNC and Philly’s PA Rep. Malcolm J. Kenyatta (181 st )
as Vice Chair; pledges to work against Trump/Musk assault
The board members of Democratic Jewish Outreach Pennsylvania today congratulated
the newly elected officers of the Democratic National Committee (DNC) — Ken Martin,
Chair, and PA St. Rep. Malcolm J. Kenyatta (181 st ), Vice Chair — and said they look
forward to working with them to turn back the assault by Donald Trump and Elon Musk
on democracy, civil rights, women’s rights and LGBTQ+ rights.
“We stand ready to join Ken Martin and our good friend Rep. Kenyatta to confront the
effort of Donald Trump and his unelected henchman Elon Musk as they tear apart
everything that our nation stands for,” said Jill Zipin, Chair of DJOP, a state-wide
political action committee.
Zipin said:
“We know that America is better than what the Trump/Musk/MAGA forces portray it as.
We know a wannabe dictator when we see one, and we know that Trump’s minions
would prefer that voters live in a constant state of fear and division.
“But we will not live in fear. We will work with our colleagues at the DNC and in the
battleground states to win elections and return our government to Americans who don’t
complain about ‘stolen elections’ only when they lose, who care about our nation more
than they care about their crypto investments and who recognize no-nothing ideas such
as sending American troops to take over Gaza as the looney and ill-conceived
proposals they are.”
