Steve Irwin

Steven D. Irwin, Pittsburgh attorney and partner with the firm of Leech Tishman Fuscaldo & Lampl, LLC, has joined the board of the Democratic Jewish Outreach Pennsylvania (DJOP.)

Irwin is a member of the PA-OH-KY Regional Board of the Anti-Defamation League. He has chaired the Community Relationships Committee of the Pittsburgh Jewish Federation (PJF) and the Pennsylvania Jewish Coalition, and served on the board of the National Jewish Democratic Council.

In addition to serving as a Trustee of the Jewish Healthcare Foundation and as co-chair of its supporting organization, the Pittsburgh Regional Health Initiative, he was named winner of the Levinson Community Service Award by the JDF and was honored by Israel Bonds and the Zionist Organization for service to Israel and the Jewish community.

Irwin is a graduate of Harvard College and Georgetown Law School. He served as Legislative Assistant to the late U.S. Sen. Arlen Specter and as Commissioner of Banking and Securities under Gov. Edward Rendell, and is a past Independent Director of Philadelphia-based FS Investments.

He has played the accordion professional for 50 years, starting with the first Klesmer band in the Southeast, and has served as Cantor intermittently at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh. His law firm, of which he is a founding equity partner, is a national firm that includes offices in Philadelphia, State College and Pittsburgh.
