A native Philadelphian and lifelong Eagles fan, Rabbi Joshua Runyan is the former senior editorial director of Mid-Atlantic Media and former editor-in-chief of the Jewish Exponent, Pittsburgh’s Jewish Chronicle, the Washington Jewish Week and the Baltimore Jewish Times. Now a tax attorney at the Center City firm of Montgomery, McCracken, Walker & Rhoads LLP, he holds rabbinical ordination from the Lubavitch Yeshiva in Lod, Israel. A father of 10, he also is an accomplished commercial pilot and flight instructor. He is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, where he studied political science and met his wife, Tamar, at the Chabad House, and Temple University’s Beasley School of Law. His children attend Jewish day schools in suburban Philadelphia.
