Please join us for brunch with Congressman Jamie Raskin, who represents Maryland’s 8th District, on Sunday, March 4, 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM. The event will take place at at Pipeline Philly, The Graham Building, 30 S. 15th Street, 15th Floor, Philadelphia, PA 19102. Though just a freshman, Congressman Raskin has already secured several leadership posts, including Vice-Ranking Member of the House Judiciary Committee, Freshman Representative on the House Democratic Steering & Policy Committee, and Vice Chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus.
Also participating will be Congressman Dwight Evans (PA-2). He will introduce his colleague and moderate the Q&A session that will follow Congressman Raskin’s remarks. Congressman Raskin will be discussing “How to Take Back Congress in 2018: Mobilizing America’s Youth to Win Elections in Swing Districts in Pennsylvania and Beyond.” His interest in this topic stems from a new initiative he started: Democracy Summer Leadership PAC.
The organization aims to win back Congress by training college and high school students and deploying them in crucial House campaigns in the Mid-Atlantic region, including PA and New Jersey.
The cost to attend the brunch is $40 per person. High school and college students can attend for free, if they present their school ID at the door.
